MATERIAL:
The surface is made of HPL. This is none other than what is known as bakelite or laminate, which is a covering material made of synthetic resin, durable and hard. Its actual name, therefore, is High Pressure Laminate "HPL". Bakelite consists of panels covered with sheets of synthetic materials that look like wood, and has a matte or glossy finish. It comes in a huge variety of colors and imitations of wood or other designs. Its main characteristics are its resistance to knocks, abrasion and stains, its resistance to the creation of bacteria, and finally the stability of its color in light and artificial lighting. It also shows resistance to high temperatures, with excellent fire resistance, scratch resistance and particularly high water resistance.
