Introducing the HM8721.08 bergere armchair, in a wonderful TURQUOISE color with black metal legs. The entire bergere is upholstered in luminous velvet, and the extra lumbar cushion is also upholstered in the same fabric. This is a simple yet imposing piece of furniture that will be the center of attention in any living room it is placed in.

Mini Story: The history of the Bergere (see bergere) begins around 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the armchair of the nobility and the upper bourgeoisie. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the era, gave it the feel of a throne. From its early years, it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back, and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. Over the years, the Bergere armchair changed its appearance (depending on the era and fashion). It was dressed in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with special textures, even Chesterfield. Although over the years we have seen variations in the design of the bergere, the arms have been covered, the back has been raised, the cushion size has changed, but the basic idea of the large, comfortable armchair has never changed. A large comfortable armchair is often better than an entire sofa.

MATERIALS:
The "fillings" of the bergere, both in the back and the seat, are made of medium-hardness foam materials that provide better body support.

The entire upholstery of the bergere is made of high-quality velvet fabric, giving an attractive appearance and refined charm to your living room decor. Velvet is a fabric that leaves no one indifferent! Whether it covers small or large surfaces, it cannot but make its presence felt in the space and attract attention. Velvet is a fabric that was particularly loved by kings and emperors of past centuries, becoming synonymous with luxury and glamour. It has flooded the windows of the largest stores and is one of the most beloved choices of the most renowned designers worldwide. It is a soft, relaxed, delightful, and elegant fabric that is impossible to resist. The positive aspect is that it can easily harmonize with any type of decoration, adding finesse and good taste to the space.

Mini Story: The reason why velvet used to be an object only for the eyes of kings and emperors was the fact that it was mainly made from silk fibers and with a very special process, which required a lot of time and a special loom. Fortunately, today things have changed and this wonderful fabric is accessible to everyone.

MAINTENANCE:
To keep velvet clean and fluffy, it is advisable to clean it once a week with a vacuum cleaner. Attach a soft brush, set your vacuum cleaner to a gentle program, and vacuum the entire surface in the direction of the pile. You will see that dust will be immediately removed and the fabric's pile will look like new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a velvet fabric. Even if you need to remove a stain, do not rub it. Dampen a soft cloth with water and blot the stain locally.
A chamois (i.e., the cloths we use to dry cars) is also an ideal choice for cleaning velvets.
