We present the BRANDON bergere armchair, in a vibrant RED color with wooden legs. The legs are in natural wood color, and especially the front legs have a beautiful carved finish. The backrest is upholstered with a tufted technique that adds special beauty to the bergere armchair, combined, of course, with the high-quality velvet fabric. The armrests and seat are exceptionally comfortable, living up to the armchair's character.

Mini Story: The history of the Bergere (see bergere) begins around 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the armchair of the nobility and the bourgeoisie. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the era, gave it the feeling of a throne. From its early years, it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open armrests, high back, and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. Over the years (depending on the era and fashion), the Bergere armchair changed its appearance. It was upholstered with floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with special textures, even Chesterfield. In a nutshell…: Tufting is a type of fabric or a sewing technique where seams and stitches form various patterns and folds or bumps. In tufting, the fabric is "puffy" and held in place by seams which, at their points, "sink" the fabric. That is, in tufting, many small puffy bumps are created, separated from each other by the seams. These bumps can be rhombuses, squares, stripes, and many other designs. You will see that the dust will be removed immediately, and the fabric's pile will look like new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a velvet fabric. Even if you need to remove a stain, do not rub it. Dampen a soft cloth with water and dab the stain locally.
An ideal choice for cleaning velvets is also leather (i.e., the cloths we use to dry cars).
