Mini Story: The history of the Bergere (see bergere) begins somewhere in 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the armchair of the nobility and the upper-middle class. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the time, gave it the feeling of a throne. From its early years, it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. The Bergere armchair changed its appearance over the years (depending on the era and fashion). It was dressed in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with special textures, even Chesterfield.
