What is the Butterfly Mechanism?
The "butterfly" type mechanism (Butterfly Tilt Mechanism) is one of the most reliable control systems in modern chairs. It is named after the characteristic shape of the metal plate located under the seat.
It offers two main functions via a central lever:
1.Height Adjustment: By pressing the lever, you adjust the seat to the ideal height for your legs.
2.Tilt Function: By pulling the lever outwards, you activate the free movement (rocking function). The chair follows your body when you lean back. By pushing the lever back inwards, the chair "locks" into the upright, ergonomic working position.
Additionally, it features a tension knob on the underside to adjust how easily or difficult the recline will be depending on your weight.
