A beautiful and comfortable bed that "invites" you to lie down every night is sure to give you the best possible rest. Because the concept of rest and a bed is not just about mattresses, or fabric, or pillows and blankets.
In HM8218.11, the traditional version of the wooden bed meets modern design. The construction is heavy and sturdy, while the front legs, the central support for the mattress slats, and the headboard supports are metallic in black. Of course, these metal parts go unnoticed, overshadowed by the uniqueness of the solid wood from which the rest of the bed is made.
DIMENSIONS:
External: 212.5x180x106 cm.
Headboard height: 106 cm. (from the floor)
Footboard height: 30 cm.
Mattress dimensions: 160x200 cm.
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS:
The front legs, the central support for the mattress slats, and the headboard supports are metallic, offering durability and sturdiness.
The entire rest of the bed is made of solid acacia wood. When we refer to solid wood, we mean wood made entirely from a tree trunk. Solid wood is the most expensive type of wood, but it stands out for its timeless aesthetic.
Info: Acacia is a native species of North America and was introduced to Europe around the 17th century. It is a medium-sized deciduous tree, 20-25 meters tall, and blooms in spring from April to May. There are approximately 1,300 species of acacia, and very few of them thrive in Greece. Its characteristic is that it grows in loose, deep, and moist soils, but its adaptability is excellent and it can even "take hold" in very poor and dry soils. It is a beautiful tree and, thanks to its ease of growth and resistance to pruning, it has earned its place in parks as an ornamental tree.
Solid wood furniture may have small deviations of a few centimeters in their dimensions and shape, as each one is unique and handmade.
Existing cracks or those that may develop over time are due to the contraction-expansion of the living organism called solid wood, and do not constitute a manufacturing defect, giving originality and unique design to your space. These are not product defects.
During the production process, existing cracks are homogenized and stabilized with a material made from the same wood.
MAINTENANCE:
Solid wood of any kind is considered high quality. In case of damage or scratches, it can be repaired and last for many years. To clean the wood from dust and age, an active but gentle material is needed, so as not to destroy the wood, always following the wood grain.
Nourishing and moisturizing wooden furniture
Furniture made of good, real wood needs regular moisturizing, because its wood dries out easily. So if you have it near a fireplace or radiator, you should move it, because it will deteriorate much faster than you expect. Moisture is the food of wood. Of course, it just needs to be at normal levels in the room! Furniture usually needs regular moisturizing, at least once every three months. One solution we suggest is to regularly nourish it with wax, which you can easily find in all supermarkets. There are also special oils for this job, but baby oil or a little olive oil does the same job! Traditional beeswax, which also smells nice, is another solution for those who prefer natural materials. Whatever material you use, apply it with a cotton cloth (always following the wood grain). Use a small amount so that it is easily absorbed.
ADVANTAGES:
•Sturdy construction
•Aesthetic superiority with solid wood
•Durability over time
•The package includes everything necessary for assembling the bed (recommended to be done by 2 people)
•Ideal for your home bedroom, as well as for commercial spaces, such as hotels, Airbnb, etc.
