It is a popular plywood choice in parts of Asia. Albasia wood is lighter in weight than most pine species. This wood is mainly found in Indonesia. Albasia can easily grow in different climates. Mostly, however, in areas where rainfall is more or less frequent. That's why it is easily found in large quantities throughout most of Indonesia, and it grows very quickly. The Albasia tree can have a diameter of up to 1 meter and a height of about 30 meters.
Albasia Falcata is a softwood. That's why it is only used for indoor constructions. Also, it is easily workable wood but particularly durable.
