MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION:
Macramé is a form of textile art in which we do not weave with a loom or knit with needles or crochet, but tie knots with our hands and only our hands. This is the amazing thing about this art, as one can create under any conditions, without complicated installations, equipment, or preparation. Most texts indicate that the art of macramé originated in Arab countries around the 13th century AD.
Rattan is the best and most widely used natural material for furniture making. Rattan grown in Indonesia is of higher quality and more durable than similar materials grown in other regions. Rattan is a naturally growing vine species native to tropical regions of Australia, Asia, and Africa. For productive use, the skin is removed and used for weaving purposes. MAINTENANCE:
All the hammock needs is a dusting and, when necessary, a cleaning with a damp cloth. The macramé can also be washed with running water and air-dried.
