The entire lounge chair is made of impregnated pine wood with an additional layer of water-based varnish. Pine is a soft, white or light yellow wood which is lightweight with straight grain. It resists shrinkage, expansion and warping. Impregnation in the broad sense is the coloring of wood (usually varnishes) by the immersion method.
The mattress cover is made of waterproof reinforced textilene fabric. This is a thick, strong and durable polyester fabric. This means it is made of polyester yarns woven edge-to-edge, and is PVC coated.

MAINTENANCE:
The key to keeping the lounge chair like new for many years is regular cleaning with a damp cloth to remove salt, although its construction with water-based varnish makes it particularly durable.
