From its early years, it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back, and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. Over the years (depending on the era and fashion), the Bergère armchair changed its appearance. It was upholstered with floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with special textures, even Chesterfield. Although over the years we have seen design variations of the bergère, the arms were upholstered, the back was raised, the dimensions of the cushion changed, but the basic idea of the large, comfortable armchair never changed. A large, comfortable armchair is often better than an entire sofa.

MAINTENANCE:
To keep velvet clean and fluffy, it is advisable to vacuum it once a week. Attach a soft brush, set your vacuum cleaner to a gentle program, and vacuum the entire surface in the direction of the fiber. You will see that the dust will immediately be removed and the pile of the fabric will become like new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a velvet fabric. Even if you need to remove a stain, do not rub it. Dampen a soft cloth with water and dab the stain locally.
Leather (i.e., the cloths we use to dry cars) is also an ideal choice for cleaning velvets.
