Introducing the HM8721.02 bergere armchair, in ROTTEN APPLE color with black metal legs. The entire bergere is upholstered in velvet, and the extra lumbar cushion is also upholstered in the same fabric. This is a simple yet imposing piece that will become the focal point of any living room it is placed in.

Mini Story: The history of the Bergere (see bergere) begins around 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the reign of Louis XV, where it was considered the armchair of nobles and the upper bourgeoisie. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the era, gave it the feel of a throne. From its early years, it was considered the queen of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back, and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. Over the years, the Bergere armchair (depending on the era and fashion) changed its appearance. It was upholstered in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with unique textures, and even Chesterfield. While over the years we have seen variations in the design of the bergere, the arms were covered, the back was raised, the size of the cushion changed, but the basic idea of a large, comfortable armchair never changed. A large comfortable armchair is often better than an entire sofa.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS:
The "fillings" of the bergere, both in the back and the seat, are made of medium-firm foam materials that provide better body support.

The entire upholstery of the bergere is made of high-quality velvet fabric, giving an attractive look and a refined charm to your living room decor. Velvet is a fabric that cannot leave anyone indifferent! Whether it covers small or large surfaces, it cannot but make its presence felt in the space and attract attention. Velvet is a fabric that was particularly loved by kings and emperors of past centuries, thus becoming synonymous with luxury and glamour. It has flooded the windows of the largest stores and is one of the most beloved choices of the most renowned decorators worldwide. It is a soft, relaxed, delightful, and elegant fabric that is impossible to resist. The positive aspect is that it can easily harmonize with any kind of decor, adding finesse and aesthetics to the space.

Mini Story: The reason why velvet was once an object only for the eyes of kings and emperors was that it was mainly made of silk fibers and, moreover, with a very special process that required a lot of time and a special loom. Fortunately, today things have changed and this wonderful fabric is accessible to everyone.

MAINTENANCE:
To keep velvet clean and fluffy, it is advisable to clean it once a week with a vacuum cleaner. Attach a soft brush, set your vacuum cleaner to a gentle program, and vacuum the entire surface along the grain of the fabric. You will see that the dust will immediately be removed and the pile of the fabric will look like new.
Under no circumstances should you rub a velvet fabric. Even if you need to remove a stain, do not rub it. Dampen a soft cloth with water and dab the stain locally.
Leather (i.e., the cloths we use to dry cars) is also an ideal choice for cleaning velvet.
