MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION:

The entire rest of the armchair is made of woven wicker. Wicker is not a material, it is a method of furniture construction mainly for outdoor spaces. It is an ancient technique, in which craftsmen pass natural or synthetic material through steam and then bend it into the desired shape. When the material dries, it hardens and the remaining pieces of furniture are sewn onto the frame. In most garden furniture and generally in outdoor furniture, synthetic PVC material is used, i.e., high-quality artificial fibers. This gives wicker excellent strength and durability in extreme heat or cold conditions, while the ΗΜ5458 also features a UV stabilizer for greater protection from the sun's rays.

MAINTENANCE:
The synthetic material of the wicker weave does not require special maintenance. It does not absorb heat, is completely water-resistant (waterproof), its shape and color do not alter, and it withstands difficult weather conditions. Wicker outdoor furniture needs plenty of water - cold or hot - and a soft cloth or sponge. DO NOT use detergents, bleaches, or polishes, as they will fade the color. If, however, the use of detergent is necessary, then use mild soap or a little baking soda dissolved in warm water. DO NOT use a pressure washer or hose with pressure as this will destroy the fibers. Finally, if storage indoors is not possible, at very low temperatures, it would be advisable to cover them with ventilated covers.
