Chinese TOON is a type of mahogany. Toon is a large deciduous tree, reaching 20 m - 30 m (70 ft -100 ft) in height and 1.8 m - 3 m (6 ft -10 ft) in girth, with a wide spread towards its top, and shallow roots. The wood is valuable for firewood, charcoal, timber, windbreaks, furniture, and as a substrate for growing shiitake mushrooms. Toon is resistant to any pH and adapts to various soil types, but prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. It is often cut to keep it shorter and have more of a shrub shape.
MAINTENANCE:
All it needs is dusting and, when necessary, cleaning with a damp cloth.
