MATERIAL:
The "shade" is made from dried banana tree fibers and sisal fibers. Sisal (Agave sisalana) is a species of flowering plant native to southern Mexico, but now widely cultivated in many other countries. Its leaves yield a stiff fiber used in making rope and various other products. The term sisal can refer to either the common name of the plant or the fiber, depending on the context.
